Quality Control (QC) photos are your best defense against receiving a disappointing product. This Hipobuy Spreadsheet UK guide teaches you how to inspect QC photos like a pro.
What Are QC Photos?
QC photos are real images of the actual product you ordered, taken before it leaves the warehouse. They are not marketing photos. They show you exactly what you will receive.
What to Check in QC Photos
- Overall Shape - Does it match the expected silhouette?
- Logo Placement - Is the branding centered, aligned, and correctly sized?
- Stitching - Are stitches even, tight, and without loose threads?
- Color - Does the color match retail photos under the same lighting?
- Materials - Does the texture look correct for leather, suede, or canvas?
- Sole - For sneakers, check sole pattern, stitching, and glue lines
Common Defects to Spot
Look for stitching errors, color mismatches, off-center logos, glue stains, sole separation, and material quality issues. Our dedicated QC page has a full defect gallery.
When to Exchange
If you notice a major flaw that affects the look or function of the item, request an exchange immediately. Most sellers allow 24-72 hours after QC photos are posted. Document the defect with a screenshot and a clear description.
